EISD Bond Open House

The Eanes ISD Board of Trustees unanimously approved an order calling for a $52.5 million district bond referendum scheduled on May 9, 2015. The proposed bond is not expected to increase the current Interest and Sinking (I&S) tax rate at $0.1725, and would accommodate prepaying existing debt, as well as allow for accelerated debt payments on the proposed bond.

The major components of the proposed bond would address facility needs at campuses 18- to 87-years old; address student safety and security; expand co-curricular academic programs and extracurricular facilities; and improve technology for student-centered learning. In addition, the bond is expected to provide funding for the replacement of systems at the end of their useful life cycle, including air conditioning units and school buses.
